I am getting ready for Katie & Kent's Wedding today in Salem, MA. The ceremony begins at 5pm at the Phillips Library at Peabody Essex Museum and the reception is at the Lyceum Restaurant for about 60 guests. I picked up all of the personal items from Katie's house on Wednesday and I cannot wait to see how all the details come together. Katie handmade all of her printing including her invitations, ceremony programs, napkins, table numbers and ALL of her decor herself with the help of some of her friends and her soon to be mother in law! She really has a great design eye and was not afraid of using her favorite colors. The main colors are orange, cranberry, and brown with green as an accent color.
Since Katie and Kent love Ben and Jerry's ice cream, each guest will be receiving their own individual Ben & Jerry's ice cream cake. The chocolate version is heath bar crunch and the white is strawberry shortcake. Yum! They definitely won't have any wedding cake left behind.
She showed me the gifts that she handmade for the bridal party and they are beautiful. Each bridesmaid will be receiving a vintage brooch to wear on the sash of their bridesmaid gown. They will also get their own set of antique earrings with matching hair pins that Katie made to coordinate with the earrings.
Stay tuned for some pictures of the wedding details tomorrow morning!
